"I rushed BAR seeking professional guidance and a tight-knit community during my freshman year when I was unsure of what it meant to pursue a career in law or public service. After almost three years in BAR, I have a better understanding of the professional world and my place in it. I have also created lasting friendships that I am forever grateful for as BAR is filled with welcoming and passionate individuals who are always willing to support you. BAR has equipped me with the tools to make me more confident in my career aspirations and provided me with a truly supportive and kind community."
Outside of BAR Karissa is on the UM Women's Club Soccer, UNICEF-UM, and I works at the Towsley Children's House.
Fun Fact: Karissa loves reading, walking, hiking, traveling, and has lived in Hong Kong for 6 years!
