Sammy is a senior double majoring in Philosophy and Statistics. He is interested in working in the mental health field such as psychiatry or substance abuse counseling.
"I joined BAR as a first-semester freshman who hated his life. I remember the turning point from this phase vividly: Emelia (then President) sat me down and asked what kind of support I needed. The support she offered lasted longer than just that one sit-down. It’s because of interactions like these that I love BAR so much. We watch out for each other. That’s what makes BAR so special. That’s what makes BAR an organization worth joining."
Outside of BAR Sammy is a part of The Michigan Daily, the Bioethics Society and is an EECS Instructional Assistant.
Fun Fact: Sammy enjoys gardening, playing tennis with friends, and keeps bees!
